Air quality monitoring undertaken by the ten GM local authorities illustrates that the legal limit value for annual mean NO2 has historically been exceeded at many locations across Greater Manchester.
Air Quality Modelling (see report AQ3 https://cleanairgm.com/technical-documents/#2020-clean-air-plan-consultation) carried out in support of the GM CAP shows that, without action, GM is not expected to comply with legal limits for NO2 across the region until 2027.
