Certain type of showmen’s vehicles can apply for a permanent local exemption. It applies to:
- Fairground/funfair vehicles in the tax classification of Showman’s HGV
- Showman’s Haulage under the DVLA Special Vehicles Tax Class and meet the definition of a ‘Showman’s vehicle’ or a ‘showman’s good vehicle’ within the meaning of section 62 of the VERA.
You’ll need to provide the following pieces of evidence to support your application:
- An image or copy of the V5C document which shows the VRN and the vehicle classification
