The Greater Manchester Clean Air Zone does not include private cars, motorbikes or mopeds.
There is a permanent exemption in place for LGVs and minibuses permanently adapted for a disabled user. This is for cases where LGVs and Minibuses specifically adapted for use by a disabled user and not used for hire or reward.
These vehicles will have a substantial and permanent adaptation to the vehicle, specific to suit a disabled wheelchair user’s particular need(s) to enable them to travel in the vehicle, or enter and drive it.
Owners or registered keepers of eligible LGVs and Minibuses adapted for a disabled user need to apply for this exemption, as there is no national database of these vehicles. Applications will open in late January 2022.
